Day 16 of 21: Notes on Losing Weight

You may have read one of my previous posts on day 10 about losing weight. Most people, including curious ones, felt that there is sometime to pay attention to their fitness. Some may even have a motivation to shred extra pounds; however, soon as you start to say to yourself that you will wait for a certain event until you start, then you might have more work to do.

Losing weight is not an easy goal but the good news is that it is not impossible. One important factor is attitude. The right mindset will get your to your goal in no time. Patience will lead you to your success. Soon as you accept that there are many challenges along the way, then you are finally on the right track. Keep going.

FATtitude - we dont like it. Get rid of your fattitude and you'll be fit!

Setting a good goal is important. "Losing weight" is not a good goal because it is not S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound). If you are looking for a better goal, instead of saying losing weight, you can say, I will weigh myself on Friday next week and lose 3 lbs of weight by removing fast foods in my diet, cutting on my sugar consumption and going for a walk everyday. If this is relevant to you, I can almost guarantee that there is high probability that you will achieve this goal. It may be just a little progress but it is still a progress. It's the little things that will lead you to your big goal, not a big drastic change. In that example, there maybe an event that instead of losing that weight, you may even gain weight. This can get you frustrated and it is normal to feel so if that happens. Just keep going! Failure is inevitable. There will be more failures along the way. If failure came in sooner, then your lesson came in sooner. Acknowledge your frustration but stay positive. You can do it! Good luck in your fitness journey. Holla at me if you have any questions!
