Ten days of challenge. Finally, I did it. It may seem a small achievement thinking that other people spend years or even lifetime working on a challenge. Today is the day to celebrate a small achievement.
While there is no definite structure of the outcome of my writing, there are qualities with my style, ideas and personality that people gave me as feedback. I know this new journey of writing will go a long way with many challenges to encounter.
SOME PEOPLE ASKED ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF AS A WRITER
My name is Jyn. My alter ego is superjyn. Thus, I came up with this website as superjyn.com. Writing is something that I have always been passionate about. It has been my dream ever since I was young. My writing career started back in high school in the Philippines. I was avid fan of Science Club but it was hard to get in the exclusive group because students were selected thoroughly.
I was either in my freshman or sophomore year when the club opened for new members. The process was opened to all the high school students, where a questionnaire has to be filled in. All I can remember is that the last question in the questionnaire is asking what is my question in science. It sounded complicated but my answer was “What is the edge of universe and what’s next to it?” Fortunately, that answer of mine seem to be the main factor that I made it to the science club.
Even though I was in a very young age, I always knew that while my answer deserves a philosophical answer. I knew that there are much more questions that needed answers. After a year, I joined our high school journalists’ club where we issue a yearly newspaper which we called “Soundboarder”.
I started as a contributor but it did not take long and I was elected unanimously as the first 3rd Year high school student to be the Editor-in-Chief (all previous editor-in-chief’s were 4th year high school). My newspaper was a big success especially with my staff encouraging students to be involved in extracurricular activities. All members weather they were graduating or not, of our journalism cub received a medal in our graduation day.
My later education was focused on Information Technology. Technology is fascinating. I learned that technology is powerful. With the combination of passion in writing and Information Technology, I know I can come up with something brilliant.
